This completely depends on the person. You can technically get away with not spending a dime, but that means no outside food, alcohol, clothes you may need to buy, or activities outside of school. Dorm food gets old fast, so my friends and I liked to eat out every now and then (lets say $10 a week or two). If you’re going to drink, that money adds up fast (anywhere from $5 to $50 for a weekend). During the winter I needed to buy a raincoat for the rainy season ($100 for a nice one). And then just new things every now and then which can range a lot…school spirit merchandise ($20), shopping sprees (??), snowboarding lift ticket ($50), bowling rentals ($10), concert/festival ($20-$200), etc. So basically, it depends on how much you plan on going outside your campus area to do things. Like I said, you can technically not spend a dime, but you would probably live a much more boring life than others. I recommend saving as much as you can because you never when something will pop up or you just feel the need to get away from the dorms/campus.
