Relax, almost everyone is at least a little nervous about making new friends. Just be yourself, and the rest will take care of itself. Living in the dorms you’ll be surrounded by hundreds of people just like yourself, who all want to make friends themselves. Making new friends is by far the #1 concern of soon to be freshmen, but ironically, it’s also the easiest thing to do in college. Besides your dorm, introduce yourselves to your neighbors in class! Be friendly at parties! Join a random Intramural sports team and bond with your teammates. Make a study buddy in class. Another great way is to make friends with your friends’ friends. Above all, just be yourself, and be friendly, and this won’t be an issue. Remember, freshmen are just like you, and want you to be their friend just as much as you want them.
